The Northern Manitoba Mining Academy provides training in mining and construction-related trades.
The NMMA also provides access to its world-class facilities for field-based undergraduate courses, graduate students, and researchers doing fieldwork.

We facilitate strategic training initiatives and research activities to strengthen the social, economic, and environmental benefits of a robust mining sector.
Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) and University College of the North (UCN) are partnering to launch a new program to increase access to driver training programming in northern Manitoba. The UCN Class 5 Adult Driver Training Program will help create safer roads and improve workforce development in this critical area of the province by bringing affordable and accessible training into communities across the region. We also provide Class 1 and Class 3 driving Certifications.

Customized Training delivers existing and personalized programming to meet the needs of industry, business, government, and community organizations. Customized training programs are on a cost-recovery basis.
Customized training is a core service of the University College of the North. One of UCN’s long-standing goals is to deliver education where people live. UCN works on an outreach basis to deliver training with courses and programs that meet each community/organization’s special needs. We offer training opportunities from regular certificate, diploma, and degree programs to customized training.
