UCN Academic Calendar and Important Dates

Your best resource for important dates and deadlines, course and program information and rules and regulations is the UCN Academic Calendar.

Students who are sponsored are encouraged to keep in touch with their Sponsors to provide current academic information and ensure critical deadlines are met including fee payment deadlines.

  • Registration For Winter Term (T30) begins
    November 3, 2025
  • Last day to ADD courses via online registration System.
    January 4, 2026
  • Last day to ADD a course
    January 16, 2026
  • Registration for Spring Term (T40) begins.
    March 9, 2026
  • Last day to ADD courses via online Registration System.
    April 26, 2026
  • Registration for Summer Term begins
    May 12, 2026

Students: Authorization for Release of Information

To allow UCN to share your academic or financial progress with your sponsor, you must submit a new Release of Information (ROI) form each academic year.

How to submit your form:

  1. In Person: Drop off your completed form at Enrolment Services in The Pas or Thompson.

  2. Email: Send it to admissions@ucn.ca.

[IMPORTANT] Email Security: To protect your privacy, electronic submissions must be sent from your official @myucn.ca email account. We cannot accept forms submitted by third parties (such as your sponsor or family).

Sponsors: Authorization to Invoice-Short and Long Form

The University College of the North requires sponsorship confirmation before students register for courses.

Sponsors may complete:

Completed forms can be submitted to atitan@ucn.ca The student record will be updated so that they may register for courses.

Privacy Policy – UCN is committed to safeguarding the personal information entrusted to us by our students and employees.  Personal information will be managed in accordance with Manitoba’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities – each student registered at UCN becomes a member of the UCN community.  Each student is entitled to expect certain rights to be recognized by the UCN community.  In the same way, the UCN community is entitled to expect responsible behaviour from each student.  UCN faculty and staff have the responsibility to support student rights, create a positive learning environment for every student, fulfill all program-related obligations, provide accurate program-related information and provide a high-level of service to ensure that their position contributes to the positive learning experience for every student.  As such, this policy exemplifies rights, responsibilities, and expectations incumbent upon members of the UCN community.
