Monday – Digital Confidence & Cyber Safety, Presented by Teqare

  • Navigating personal devices, online safety and scam prevention.

Tuesday – Workplace Readiness in a Digital World, Presented by Teqare

  • Navigating laptops, desktops, digital platforms and interfaces.

Wednesday – Digital Storytelling, Presented by New Media Manitoba

  • Creating  your own digital narrative story that you can share with friends and family.

Thursday – Game Design, Presented by New Media Manitoba

  • Designing games for player engagement, inclusivity, accessibility, from ideation and prototype

Friday – Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Presented by Leslie Klassen from New Media Manitoba

  • Exploring AI and practical tools for the workplace. 

New Media Manitoba

  • Intro to User Experience Design – Learn the five stages of design-thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test. Build prototypes, conduct usability testing, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Portfolio Development – Learn how to build a professional portfolio that showcases your work and skills using different platforms and linking it to your resume.

ComIT

  • Social Media Marketing – Prepare for entry-level roles with hands-on experience managing profiles, creating content strategies, and developing brands across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

There will also be group working sessions to practice skills, collaborate, and receive mentorship. Instructor will be attending virtually.
