Program Overview
Students are engaged in the Carpentry, Electrical and Plumbing trades as well as non core courses such as Intro to Computers, Trade Math, Print Reading, Communicating in the Workplace, Core Occupational Safety and Safety Practice. The core trade courses will be instructed over a 12 week periods incorporating both a theory and practical component. Within this time period students are exposed to trade specific code, theory, tools and related safety practices. The non-core courses both enrich and further develop the skills needed by today’s modern tradesperson. Upon completion of the program students participate in a 10 day practicum placement providing learners with valuable in field experience.
