Instruction & Research

I am a Nursing Instructor and DPN Site Coordinator for the Faculty of Health based out of Flin Flon, mb. With a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Nursing from the University of Saskatchewan, with a focus on professional practice and education, I bring a broad range of clinical experience and a strong commitment to nursing education. My teaching experience spans foundational nursing, health assessment, obstetrical nursing, mental health, and community nursing. I am passionate about fostering student learning through supportive, inclusive, and engaging educational environments, with an emphasis on hands-on clinical experiences, simulation-based learning, and the integration of theory into practice. My research and scholarly interests focus on nursing education, faculty development and support, simulation-based teaching strategies, and enhancing nursing education and student success in rural and remote communities. I am particularly interested in strengthening clinical teaching practices, supporting nurse educators, and developing innovative educational approaches that prepare nursing students to provide safe, competent, and compassionate care in diverse healthcare settings.
