My name is Shaila Moodie, and I like to say I’m from all over Manitoba because I enjoy travelling and spending time with family members scattered across the province. My mother is from the O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation, and my father is from the Misipawistik Cree Nation, which we consider home. As a Cree woman, I am proud to have a beautiful son.

I graduated from the three-year Bachelor of Arts program in June 2025, and I am currently in the final stages of completing my Bachelor of Education degree through the Kenanow Program at UCN in The Pas. My hobbies include art, being outdoors, gaming, and travelling. Ekosi! Thank you for taking the time to read my submission to Muses of the North!
