Program Overview
The Pathway to Health Care Programs is a 20-week certificate program designed to equip students with essential academic and foundational student success skills required for health care–related programs. Graduates are prepared to pursue further studies in the Practical Nursing Diploma, Primary Care Paramedicine, and Bachelor of Nursing programs.
Students strengthen their knowledge of mathematics, science, and communication, while becoming familiar with the vocabulary and terminology used in health care settings. The program also supports students in developing and applying a holistic sense of self to their academic studies and professional aspirations. Guest lecturers and facility tours introduce students to the multi-faceted world of health care, with a focus on the opportunities and realities of health care delivery in Northern and Indigenous communities.

- English Proficiency: applicant whose first or primary language is not English will need to provide approved proof of language proficiency tests such as IELTS – Academic version
