Our Mining Readiness Program is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the mining industry. Here’s what you need to know:

Program Description:

  • Duration: 3 weeks (Monday to Friday, 9 am – 4 pm)
  • Focus on Workforce Readiness Skills
  • A mix of Classroom and Experiential Learning
  • Includes the use of Hands-On, Theory, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Training
  • Aimed at Developing Skilled, Safety-Focused Workers Ready for the Mining Industry
  • Tuition and Materials Provided to accepted students

  • Seek entry-level employment opportunities
  • Aspire to work in a mining environment
  • Desire to acquire workplace readiness skills
  • Are able to fully participate in this in-person training opportunity

Outcomes:

Upon completion, participants can expect:

  • Enhanced worker confidence and preparedness for mining industry roles
  • Graduates of the program will be accredited with a joint UCN/NORCAT certificate, which provides credentials recognized by the mining industry. This includes WHMIS, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, and Forklift operation.
  • Students will gain transferrable skills that can be used across many industries.
