Through this collaboration, UCN continues to strengthen innovative programming and responsible stewardship of grant-funded projects. This role supports a multi-year, grant-funded initiative currently aligned with project activities through July 2029. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and alignment with project requirements.
The work will involve supporting the successful delivery of Mastercard Foundation-funded initiatives through project coordination, financial oversight, reporting, and resource management. Responsibilities include monitoring grant budgets and expenditures, maintaining project tracking systems, preparing financial and compliance reports, supporting audits, coordinating grant-funded activities, and ensuring adherence to funding and institutional requirements. The position also serves as a key liaison between internal departments and the Mastercard Foundation, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
This opportunity is well suited to someone with post-secondary education in Arts, Business, Project Management, Administration, or a related field, along with project management training and 3–5 years of related experience. Experience in administration, planning and implementation, building collaborative working relationships, and interpreting policies, procedures and guidelines. Strong organizational, financial, communication, and time-management skills are required, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and database systems is required.
Experience in a post-secondary setting and knowledge of project management principles are considered strong assets. An understanding of Indigenous and northern communities would also be considered an asset.
