Duties

Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Transformation and Interuniversity Services (IUS), the Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Transformation and IUS teams. This role coordinates daily office operations, supports financial and human resource processes, assists with departmental projects and programs, and serves as a key liaison with internal and external partners. The successful candidate will help ensure the efficient delivery of departmental priorities through organizational, communication, and customer service skills in a collaborative and culturally responsive environment.

Required Qualifications

• Office Assistant Certificate: equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Experience coordinating and scheduling travel arrangements
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Teams and other virtual communication tools and office technologies
• Experience in reviewing and monitoring office budgets
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
• Commitment to life-long learning

Assets

• Ability to speak an Indigenous language
• Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures
